Many YouTube videos with Warner Music Group protected content have been muted. For example, if you upload a homemade music video with a Black Sabbath or Rage against the machine song as the audio track to Youtube, Youtube will mute it. Youtube has some fancy technology that can electronically recognize the audio signatures of protected audio.

I was having some problems yesterday, then a message came up saying youtube was going to do some maintenance on the site at 7pm (can't remember the time zone they used) the issues I was having had nothing to do with WMG, but the above poster is right about those vids with that music. There is even a note saying it was muted. Depends on what issue you were having I suppose?
