I really hate that my mom and cousins and aunt is on my friends list because I can't start certain types of discussions because I don't want my family knowing that side of me. So I just wish it was a way I could go back and time and not have them on my list. It's too late for me to delete them because they would know so I am stuck with them seeing my posts.

Anyone feel the same and have to watch what they say?

Use the unfollow button to avoid reading their statuses. Also, there is a restricted option of who can read your statuses. Even that isn't foolproof since it can be shown to others by someone sharing what you posted to someone else that isn't on the list. That's why "grouping" to what certain people can see and blocking is kind of pointless.

My private life stays private (as much as possible), and that from the beginning of Internet.
It's good to always think long and hard about all the "Internet posting consequences" BEFORE , not after the fact.
In your instance yes - you are stuck, at least till the next social networking website.
There was MySpace, now is Facebook, and in the future there will be something new again. Make informed choices.

A good guideline to follow is never post anything you don't want certain people to know about.

Another thing to remember that once posted, it stays on Internet FOREVER. Don't be a compulsive poster.
After all, everything you have posted, or that has been posted of you – whether it's a newborn baby photo, drunk party details, personal info, or anything scandalous on social media pages – will be around long after you're gone. Once you post information, it's out there and you can no longer control who sees or takes it.

Wow, I wonder what the OP hides from his/her/it's family with this phrase:

Sheesh, if you want something kept private you keep it to yourself. You don't post the intimate/private aspects of your life on FB or *any* Internet repository...

Whatever I post anywhere on the Internet I think and contemplate first before fingers start tapping on the keyboard...

Well, sometimes (as some of you know) some things I see or read on the Internet has me typing first and thinking second. Still, I'm not embarrassed with what I post and couldn't care less who sees or reads it...

Probably the "Rent-A-Skanks" he gets off craigslist occasionally to play "adult games" with him. Why he would want to share his fetishes with anyone at all other than with those similarly inclined is out there but he's certainly shared with CD subscribers enough over the years to indicate that he seems to feel that being able to afford a cheap player is a badge of honor.

I can't joke around the way I want to with my male friends because my family may think I'm being serious.

Create a list with their names and then when you start a discussion you don't want them to be part of, post it so that everyone can see it except that list.

I see so many complaints about Facebook that I wonder if people ever bother to learn how to use the blasted thing.
