I've searched this forum and found one that somebody recomended, and was over run by pop-ups so I didnt download it.
Does anybody know a way I can download a video that is pretty important to my grandfather from YouTube?

If *downloading* becomes a problem, then try to find a programmme that can record *what you see*.
Some programmes can even record *just what you want to see*.

Not aware of a rule that one can not post such info, but *Camtasia* does exactly that.
If it is removed, by a mod, DM me for info.

Thank you for the info-I Googled it.
Do you know of a more 'regular' program that is virus free that will allow me to download this one video from YouTube?
It's only 7 min long and I'd really like to show my Grandad before he passes {he's in the hospital now}

No wifi in that wing of the hospital, and I dont have a smart phone.
BUT if I could download it to my laptop, I could show him.

Camtasia is a *regular programme* as far as I know.
You can download and use for 30 days For FREE !!!

You think Camtasia would load a virus onto your machine ?

I use Camtasia all the time to create instructional videos.

LBNL, you mentioned, you download, and are then inundated with pop ups and or a virus ...
Are you trying to use pirated software ???
I agree ... stay as far away as you can from anything like that !!!

You use Firefox? Get the add-on Flash Video Downloader. The downloaded video will be an .flv file which can be played with VLC.

All freeware, no strings attached and works like a charm.
