Could anyone give some insight on the subdivision Stones Crossing in Southern Lafayette Indiana? There are some nice deals but I just can't put my finger on the type of neighborhood it is. Good for families? How about crime, quality of homes, value, etc?

Thanks!

We just moved from Lafayette to South Dakota. Lived in Lafayette for 15 years. Depending on where you are coming from, you might like it, you might not. Stones Crossing is a good subdivision for families. It's a nice, newer neighborhood. There are few trees, which is par for the course in newer neighborhoods there. The crime rate in the area has been steadily on the rise for the last five years. It's one of the primary reasons we decided to relocate. Lafayette is a nice community if you are coming from a bigger city with a higher crime rate. If you are coming from a smaller community, you might be a bit overwhelmed with everything that is going on there lately. Check their local paper online - it's called the Journal and Courier.
