I loved it down there! It was even better than I thought it was going to be. I didn't want to leave. I'm moving there ASAP, LOL. In a couple of months. July 1st is my goal. Need a job, though. Already sent out a resume. Already packed for the most part. Fingers are crossed.

Lightbulb Comlumbus Indiana Vs New England Weather

JER, I READ YOUR POSTING AND HONESTLY THE WEATHER IN COLUMBUS, INDIANA ( JUST TO CLUE YOU IN) IS JUST ABOUT THE SAME AS NEW ENGLAND. JUST WATCH THE WEATHER CHANNELS AND YOU'LL SEE.

THEY BOTH HAVE LONG, ICY, COLD WINTERS.......SO IF YOU WANT A CHANGE IN WEATHER FOR RETIREMENT, COLUMBUS IS NOT WHERE YOU'D WANT TO BE......TRY SOUTH. (FROM MARYLAND ON DOWN SOUTH........NORTH CAROLINA, SOUTH CAROLINA AND VIRGINIA ARE VERY NICE
( WHERE FLORIDA CAN BE A LITTLE HOT UNLESS YOU LIKE THE HEAT)

SO NOT SURE WHERE YOU GOT THE IDEA INDIANA WAS A WARMER STATE.......
MAYBE YOU NEED TO STUDY YOUR GEOGRAPHY, HEY?

We had a whacky winter. There were days in December and January when it was in the 50's & 60's. February was February ... icy and snowy. Please stop yelling Momwhiz. Columbus is great.

wow, i found this post in a google search accidently. very old. so might as well throw in an update. I've been living in columbus, Indiana for 4 years now. don't know who momwhiz is but indiana weather is no where near (not even close) to new england winter weather. Indiana has much warmer weather. haven't seen 30 below 0 or 10 feet of snow yet. lol. don't need a geography lesson, but you might want to look into one. Strangely that post was about a year late. Anyway, indiana has hardcore thunder storms though, lol!!!!! Almost drove through a tornado, been in an really bad flood, and even felt an earthquake. however, it is very a nice town, and am glad i moved here.
