Hi,

My husband is considering a job in Warsaw. We will need to relocate from Lake County (northwest Indiana). I would like to know if anyone has info on the following:
1. Family-friendly neighborhoods or affordable waterfront areas to live on. 2. Good schools in the area. My daughter is in 4th grade and my younger is in pre-school.
3. Competetive swim teams and girls softball.
4. How the people of Warsaw accept newcomers.
5. Recommended hospitals in the area (I am a nurse and will be seeking employment after we settle in.)

From postings I've read and the people my husband has interviewed with the town sounds like it is small but friendly. We are really hoping to slow down the pace a bit and live in affordable family neighborhood. We also would enjoy the lakes. (We love to fish!) Please let me know your thoughts or suggestions.

Thank you,
Hrtnurse1

1. there are many friendly neighborhoods like the dells...barrington hills...the meadows... melody acres too many to name

2. some of the elementary schools are madison, jefferson, washington, leesburg, harrison, eis enhower, and sacred heart

3. any competitive swim teams you could find at the ymca in warsaw if your talking about for your kids and also i think they might have a softball team aswell

4. people in warsaw go about there day and dont mind others but if you end up with friendly neighbors then that would be different

5. there is only one hospital and that is the kosiosko community hospital but other than that we have retirment homes that need nurses all around warsaw

6... if you enjoy the lake you should really look for a home in winona lake its like a little part of warsaw its nice, quiet, and very homey you should look for a waterfront home

just look up some homes on remax or century 21 im sure youll find what your looking for i wish you good luck and have a good time in warsaw!!!

my source... i lived here all my life!
