My husband is interviewing with Zimmer. My sons play youth hockey and I was wondering if there are any youth ice hockey programs nearby. I haven't had any luck finding ice rinks close by - only in South Bend or Fort Wayne. Would it be doable to be commuting from Warsaw to either South Bend or Fort Wayne two times a week for practice plus weekend games?

Thanks.

Well, if I were you, I would take the job in Warsaw. I would look to live in a place close to Columbia City. That is about equidistant between Fort Wayne and Warsaw. Many people commute from Fort Wayne to Warsaw for work, but it is a good 40-45 minutes. That way, if you live in Columbia City, both drives wouldn't be near that long. But Warsaw definitely doesn't have an ice rink, as it is a smaller city (about 15,000).

Another option would be to live in Goshen and have your husband commute to Warsaw for work. The ice rink in South Bend (although not near as nice as the one in Fort Wayne) would be about 35-40 minutes from Goshen or Elkhart area.
