Very interesting and great to hear for our state.

Were these actual jobs filled by real people or mere commitments, which his administration has counted in the past? Ask folks in Tipton and Connersville about those "jobs."

"43,000 private sector jobs" minus 27,000 public sector jobs cut (Daniels encourages Northwest Indiana to seize jobs) equals net gain of 16,000 over the state for the entire year.

Just curious as to the average pay and benefits for the new jobs. How many are part time, minimum wage, no benefit jobs?

That's the key ... the state has this reputation of acting like the prom queen when a company says they want to add jobs, but then doesn't follow through.

Big dif.

Yes, but not every part of the state can be a bright spot. Connersville and Tipton have been busts so far, but that is how it goes sometimes. Daniels can't control what happens on a federal level, which is exactly why most of these companies did not come to fruition. You can't blame Daniels for that!

We can blame him for padding his stats.

Yeah right. Indiana still has one of the highest unemployment rates and that is no lie.

Not really cause all the states stats are scewed since the BLS only counts those *seeking* unemployment benefits and those people that quit looking for work are not counted when they should be.

You're not exactly refuting Southside's assertion.
