For elementary schools in Columbus, it's a neighborhood school system, unless your children have been deemed gifted and talented, at which point, they have the option of attending the 2 gifted and talented magnet schools, which are Parkside and Southside. You can live anywhere in town for those two programs.

Parkside and Southside are full elementary schools, but they are also the gifted and talented magnet schools. If you live in the park side district, your kids go to park side no matter what.

I wouldnt move to Columbus, too much crime, unemployment, sirens and vacant factories. I would move to either Nashville, Ind / Brown County (45min)or Edinburg, In (15min) from atterbury. The quality of life there is superb. Nashville has alot of unique gift shops there. No Busses or cabs, crime, Homeless etc... Your rent is more but your quality of life is superb. You will be what you see!

I forgot to tell you, the schools in Nashville, Ind are superb, no diversity though. The cops run a very CLEAN town their. If your looking for trouble, they will lock you up! Thats why there is little or no crime. Some moon shine bootleggers thats it.
