Looking for lake communities around Lafayette within a reasonable daily commuting distance. On the map, all I see is green! Tell me where the blue is!

I did see the river; any boating or other recreation on the Wabash? Housing? Anything?

There is boating and canoeing on the Wabash River but little development. Actually that is one of the things makes it such a beautiful river.

I would suggest Monticello, Indiana. They have both Lake Freeman and Lake Shaffer and Indiana Beach Amuisment Park to offer. It is a small town but really growns in population in the summer time - but still offer alot to do. It is only about 35 miles from Lafayette, Indiana.
