We have alot more trouble that has been coming up from Mexico. Our government needs to stop ignoring this, because they by not doing anything will be responsible for any terrorist attacks in our country.
Your last sentence says it all. After years and years of abuse by corrupt employers, Arizona citizens have found that the illegal's social costs far outweigh any so-called benefits. Just like anything else. Things come to ahead and that is what is happening not only in Arizona but across the country. The majority of Americans did not want them here anyway regardless of any so-called savings to them (which there never was).

You fail to realize how many Americans are out of work now and that makes a difference because of the numbers of illegals that kept increasing by leaps and bounds every year. No, law abiding Americans were never ok with it even when times were good but the feds refused to secure our borders.

If SB1070 will do little to rid Arizona of illegal aliens then why are the pro-illegals screaming so loud?
Because the bill was so poorly writen, that a 5th grader could see that the bill caused proplems for everyday Americans. Thats why the bill went into re-write.

In addition, the bill has provisions that infringes on American workers rights. Arizona, in a weak attempt to control undocumented workers, makes illegal for anyone [regardless of immigration status] the right to stand on private property and seek work.

These are but a few examples of why this poorly writen law has folks squawking.

Could you please show proof of the "poorly written" bills amendments that proves your statement? you have to show proof of how the amendments would correct the "poorly written" bill. Regarding the "makes illegal for anyone [regardless of immigration status] the right to stand on private property and seek work." You fail to mention there is temporary day laborer's companies that report taxes on people looking for day laborer's jobs. The problem is that Illegal Immigrants standing in the parking lot of the Home Depot are not paying taxes (like the rest of us do), with documentation they can go to a Labor Ready location and get work. It's just a form of tax evasion to stand out at Home Depot or Lowes waiting for someone to pay them under the table.

How many times do you have to be told that a few words were changed for better clarity? There was no racial profiling allowed in the first bill.

It is against the law to stand on corners seeking work unless the employer makes you fill out the proper tax forms and to have ample insurance and permits. We all know that Joe Blow picking up a worker on the corner whether they be legal or illegal isn't doing that. That practice needs to end.

so typical of our government. It can't even follow it's own laws!!! But that way of thinking will only destroy us even faster. Lawlessness.
