PommysMommy, in one way you should look to the passing of the Healthcare Act as a victory for the ability in Washington to get things done on a grand scale. This bodes well for tackling a sorely needed, clearly written, enforceable Illegal Immigration Reform Act. That is now our job as citizens and voters to say "You proved the impossible - that something concrete CAN be done when enough pressure is applied to you. Now we want the same amount of focus on THIS issue".
It is clear that they have no good plan for the immediate rescue of the economy and job creation. Therefore, why can't Immigration Reform which impacts us so greatly be the next big issue to be resolved? Arizona, the state, has taken the first shot. Now it is up to us the voters to have our voices heard by our own local representatives. Contact your Congressman/woman and let them know if you agree or disagree and what you want for YOUR state. Make it clear where you stand and demand to be represented. That is why you voted for them in the first place. If you disagree with them, then let your fingers do the talking at the November elections.
Which is more intrusive: requiring that people pay their share of costs for health care services that they will inevitably demand, or freely detaining any member of an entire race of people - illegals and legals - for no reason other than their race?
Oh wait. I guess the second one isn't intrusive if you're a white Republican.

I am caucasian but I am not a Republican. I am an Independent.
The absolute acute lunacy coming from the WH is as "Shocking" as it is "Embarrassing" ! Considering the distinct possibility that HO and crew may truly not understand what the term "Illegal Alien" really means and that the important words "Against The Laws Of This Nation" ..... means just that and nothing else !
Most 7 year olds understand what important stuff like this means !
When the "Laws Of The United States" no longer mean anything to the "Career Politicians" in this instance of "Illegal Aliens" and "Breaking The Law" then we become a nation without laws ... and of course the only thing left is survival .
It is absolutely inconceivable to realize that HO & crew would absolutely do nothing to resolutely solve the terrible situation on the Southern Border in favor of the protection and well being of the American citizens who live there !
How pitifully tragic for the American People !
The Arizona Govenor who just yesterday signed the papers to allow law enforcement to better do their jobs of protecting the legal citizens
deserves a medal and a round of applause from the entire nation !
She has the guts to take action for the citizens protection ... it's such a damn shame that the Washington "Political Circus" does not !!!
LFunk, this issue did not just pop up on the radar. As I remember it, the Border Patrols really kicked off under Bush. But let's say we not divide this issue into a Republican vs Democrat thing and instead view it as a AMERICAN issue that we the people are demanding be addressed and resolved.
There is a vacuum in the WH, we have no president, we have no leadership.. What we have is a socialist thug who doesn't give a damn about the citizens of this country.. It's sad he still has a few far left loonies fooled. They should be embarrassed to believe his lies , but it takes intelligence for that..
Two more years and that filthy slime ball will be history... He can go play cards with Billy and limp dick willy...
