BOSTON (Reuters) - Workers including 361 illegal immigrants were cheated of hundreds of thousands of dollars in overtime pay at a factory at the center of a high-profile raid in Massachusetts, according to a lawsuit filed on Tuesday.
The class-action lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Boston on behalf of 500 workers, follows a raid by federal immigration agents on March 6 that drew criticism of the Bush administration's immigration policy and brought national attention to the perils facing undocumented workers.
Dozens of children were stranded when 361 workers at Michael Bianco Inc., which makes equipment and apparel for the U.S. military, were arrested by federal agents in New Bedford, a port city about 55 miles south of Boston.

Undocumented? I seriously doubt it. Most illegals use stolen and/or forged documentation. Euphemisms are one thing. Out and out lies are another.

Okay. What is this supposed to mean? (The article provides no details.) Were these children stranded on the premises? At school? Daycare? Where? AFAIK, when someone is arrested, the arresting agency is not responsible for the children of those being detained.
This is just getting better, and better
Now all this will go to court, jamming up the justice system for a very long time...and guess what people? Since the illegal immigrants don't have a pot to pee in, they will need legal representation, translators, housing...etc.etc.etc.
And, guess WHO will be ultimately be paying for all of it?????
Yup, right, the american people...who else?
They are not supposed to be here in the first place, and all of the sudden they are getting money in a lawsuit (even though technically they do not legally exist here?)
It's a disasterous thing.....like cancer from the inside out!

Hopefully they arrested the employers as well... As far as the overtime benefits for the Illegals ??? Use them to help offset the deportation costs for them and their families... Everybody wave bye-bye now.....
This is outrageous. BTW, today I saw a truck full of what appeared to be illegals actually take a slow shortcut over somebody's lawn instead of stopping at an intersection - I thought I had seen it all until now.
They ARE suing the owners of the factory, -AND the U.S. government. It is in the article.
