I just don't hold out too much hope for enough of the Democratic base to make much of a difference.

Don't forget about the people who those 300 000 anchor babies will legalize as well. Vote "Cow" for the democrat party.

Considering that the current rules to amend the constitution are something like:
Quote:
The first method is for a bill to pass both houses of the legislature, by a two-thirds majority in each. Once the bill has passed both houses, it goes on to the states. This is the route taken by all current amendments. Because of some long outstanding amendments, such as the 27th, Congress will normally put a time limit (typically seven years) for the bill to be approved as an amendment (for example, see the 21st and 22nd).
The chances of this getting anything other than a really good laugh at are pretty slim.

It's very important that American citizens know exactly what havoc the misinterpretation of the 14th amendment has done to America over the years, with the anchor baby abuse industry. We do know that the Democrats now control Congress and will never allow the 14th amendment misinterpretation to change because, as I've said before, the current misinterpretation of the 14th amendment is working so well for them. After all, doesn't a new crop of anchor Democratic voters come of age every year, year after year. What could be acomplished though would be to show the American citizens just what I have been saying, 'that the current Republican politicians are fighting illegal immigration and the current career Democratic politicians are fighting the Republican politicians fighting illegal immigration.' And too, it would be important if the current Democratic party became known as the Socialist Democratic Amnesty Party in time for the 2010 and 2012 elections. It would be important, that is, only to anyone interested in preserving the future of the US.

Lets not forget that it was Ronald Reagan a Republican that gave Illegals Amnesty in 1986. The Republican party is not anything like days when Reagan was President.

An actor playing a politician who had mild Alzheimer's while in office? Thank God the President doesn't have absolute power for anything.

I guess you missed you missed the part where I said the "current" Republican party and the "current" Democratic party. Noone particularly cares now what happened in the past because it has little bearing on what's happening now.
