The title is irrelevant, a tool used by the media to grab the consumer and make them want to read the paper or article in question.

Joe has been doing a great job in this regard -

Is he arrogant? Yep - very. Is he a media *****? Yep - a big one. Is he a straight talker? Yes he is.

Dropping the contract with Guadalupe was a stroke of genius -

His push in the area of Illegal immigration has been noticed, and started to be replicated, nationwide. Every law enforcement agency in Arizona has started to follow HIS lead - including Phoenix - previously a sanctuary city.

I guess it's better to go after day laborers than to arrest the real criminals out there.

So you think killing or maiming some Maricopians is a reasonable price to pay for harrassing the hispanics?

Interesting view...then again a number of those likely killed or maimed are probably hispanics so it is OK...right?

Hell: even Rebecca Jiminez, the mayor of Guad is now pissing off the City Council there with her antics. She got stopped/cited by the MCSO for an equipment violation, etc and was griping about 'racial profiling' or some such nonsense--------apparently, this happened at night.

How the hell does one tell if a person has dark skin or not prior to be 'contacted' by a LEO when he turns on his lights?

In fact: I met a 'Hispanic' a couple of days ago at work------he is Nordic White with a Spanish surname. So much for the stereotype that all Latinos are dark skinned Indians.

Pure Hyperbole Capt -

Illegals are being run out of Arizona - regardless of their country of origin - MCSO has detained illegals from, I believe, 14/15 different countries -

Whatever it takes to take back our state -

The Mesa police force was not to be found for its citizens as their reply to 911 calls was "we have no one to respond as everyone is at the demonstration” while Joe and his fellas were doing their job. I might add that it would have been much easier if that wannabe political figure Mesa police chief had been doing his.

The sheriff’s dept even answered some of those calls even though they are the city’s responsibility first. Who was the show boat media hound here? Joe was at the office doing his thing and the Mesa police chief was waving to the demonstrators talking to the media... what a joke. There is a guy not doing his job.

I just wish Joe were our governor.

Regardless what anyone living elsewhere thinks, Joe Arpaio keeps getting re-elected without much effort BECAUSE of his efforts to combat illegal immigration, in addition to his refusal to molly-coddle prisoners.

Here's the MAN...

Here's what he's up against...

Many forget that many of the criminal activity in the County is happening because of the illegal immigration issue - in various forms - including human smuggling, gangs, drug transportation etc -

Sorry I guess I missed that connection in the article. They never indicated that those who complained about the slow or no response of the police were victims of crime performed by illegal immigrants. Let's just stick with the contents of the article.
