Good post Berkshires! It's always great when you can get a laugh in this forum!
Like it matters what the crazies in CA think or say!!! LOLOLOL It was good for a laugh though because I know lots of family and people in CA and everyone they know and so on and so on say that illegals are a huuuuuuge problem. Of course it also depends on the question that was asked and in what context but I do get a kick out of the illegal loving populace out there that jump on it. CA already cooked their gooses and they deserve what happens to them by the illegals.

Hilarious and very nearly true.
My second languages are French and ASL. That's why I had to get the hell out of California! I just couldn't fit in.....
The state of California has tolerated illegal immigrants for years, it's the other parts of the country which have a difficulty seeing brown people on the street corner. In California, it's just another day.

You mean brown people as in people from India who have come here legally? Or legal immigrants from the Philippines, Egypt, Lebanon, Greece, Pakistan or Indonesia? I have no problem at all with these people. And I live in the Chicago area which has a large and varied immigrant population. You can keep trying to make this all about race but you are not going to succeed.

Really?
That sure didn't seem to be the case in the last five years before I got out of there last August.
The middle class flight OUT of California due to the barrio-ization of formerly middle class enclaves is astounding.
The only people moving into California are the very rich and the illegals. The rich tolerate illegals because they employ them. The rest of the Californians simply leave, or at least they WERE leaving before the bottom fell out of the real estate market.
Gee...wonder if that is because the middle class can't afford to move there or perhaps it's because California is going broke spending into the billions of dollars on illegal immigrant education, healthcare, benefits, and incarceration....

I get very dark in the summer. Am I a brown person?

Yes, I believe you would then be counted as a brown person. According to JIL, you should not stand on any street corners. Unless you are in California.
