We will pay for it one way or another. Obviously you care about the emotional side but chose to ignore the economic side of it.

My point was that if the forum is for discussing immigration issues, posting each and every crime hasn't fostered any debate about what can be done to stop crime.

These crimes aren't any different than other crimes as regards to budget cuts to local law enforcement.

Sure, one can say if the person wasn't here, that crime wouldn't have happened.

But what does stating that accomplish? Not much other than to express an opinion.

What would help prevent these crimes?

More funding for police, ....something that is not proposed or supported.

In fact, each time someone proposes that local law enforcement should take on new responsibilities, like enforcing federal laws the feds don't enforce, the result is less local police for local crime enforcement.

The feds should be made to enforce fed law, that's what they get paid for.

When the local police have to do the fed's job, the police don't receive any money and they have to cut back on what they used to do as far as local enforcement.

As more and more local police are asked to do more and more in the way of enforcing federal law, expect to see a rise in crimes that they will no longer be able to focus on.

I guess it depends on what one expects to achieve,

......effective policy changes, ....or just another chance to express an opinion.
..

what can be done???

DON'T LET THEM SNEAK ACROSS TO BEGIN WITH... 6000 Americans each year die at the hands of some lowlife criminal who sneaks across the border!

Now this argument is getting old as well. I don't think anyone can accept crime especially murder. Problem is if they are illegal they are sent back to their home country and probably come back. If they are legal they are jailed and maybe will serve their full prison term.

the point is.. NOT being here in the first place=NO crimes commited by an illegal.. period. No having to over-tax our legal system more than it already is, no more having to pay to incarcerate, deport, huge amount of drugs won't get across the border.. and many less Americans would have to die each year.. because of them NOT being here in the first place!

Why do you seem to parrot everything ProLogic says? I really don't think you're fooling anyone here - but you obviously have a lot invested in this if creating all these sock puppets is worth your time...my only suggestion is that you make an effort to express your thoughts differently when changing handles so as to pull off the ruse a little more convincingly.

To better help you understand why those of us who are opposed to illegals keep posting stories like this - it is so those Americans who are insulated from this locally can't just sweep this under the rug as some "unfortunate occurrence" that is unique or rare. It is so those of us who are personally affected by illegals and their criminal activity can share with others our experiences and concerns, in the ultimate hope that the laws of our nation will finally be recognized and enforced by our own LE.

The response I expected. Reminds me of that Geraldo video posted on here... he who yells loudest wins the argument. Now back to immigration... WE have crime and it is committed by both legals and illegals. You say 6000 Americans killed. Where did you get those figures? I really want to know in spite of my facetious response.

Although I agree with the last part of your post DontH8ME, HoustonCynic isn't a sock puppet, or alter ego of ProLogic. I have looked at the IP addresses and they are indeed in two entirely separate areas of the country. I just wanted to set the record straight.
