Obama was already polling at around 60% at least in most polls with Latinos. At best, this could help him get to about 70%. And that will likely be counteracted by a further loss of support among white voters and possibly even a (very) slight loss of support among black voters. I think it will probably end up being a wash.
Yes -- and the pro-illegal side often forgets that not all hispanics are illegals and so do not benefit from this at all.

Yes. Reagan gave them amnesty and said it was the one action that he most regretted.

His actions just opened the door to manipulate the system for the same treatment.
They have overburdened our schools and closed hospitals in needed locations.
They are fully aware that they are breaking the law and that they are taking advantage of our hospitality.
Doesn't there come a time in which our hospitality should end?
Are not we in a time of need ourselves, with high unemployment and a huge demand on social services for our own citizens?

Rewarding a bad activity just encourages more of it.
If Regan had never given that amnesty we might be in a very different situation now.
Actions have consequences.

Didn't we all know it would come to this?

Actually Reagan gave amnesty based on a deal he made with the dems. They promised in return for the amnesty that they would fund increased border security. The lead Dem was that bloated Whale and alcoholic Ted Kennedy. The Dems welched on their part of the deal.
Gee I wonder where trust but verify came from?

No argument here. Both parties are sell outs to big business interests and no longer represent the people. Both parties are in love with illegals.
