Sorry, but the analogy fits. Illegal aliens are not the same as legal immigrants. They all come from foreign lands, but the former are interlopers and thieves, while the latter are here with permission. Again, most recognize the difference.
Apparently, the fleeing Hispanics perceive themselves as criminals. Those with a legal presence have no reason to fear the law. Of course, many are here legally, but have illegal aliens in the household. So, it’s understandable that they would also leave. Too bad they aren’t leaving the country, rather than simply moving to another state. I hope they don’t move to Maryland.
