So here's a suggestion~When our ancestors came here, they were proud and happy to become Americans. If there was a war, they fought in it and proved their allegiance to this country throughout generations. SO, how about we give the illegals a chance? We can have the remainder of our national guard that is home train them. Then we can bring more of our citizen soldiers home to help continue training the illegals. As soon as they're trained~off to war they go. If they really desire to be ALL that an American citizen is with all the benies AND responsibilities, why not let them prove themselves by fighting for America just like our ancestors have done?
Jammie, I have no problem with that at all. I am not aginst hispanics coming to this country if they do it the legal way. I have a problem with them when they sneek across the border and milk the system. How can we expect an illegal to obey the laws of this country if we grant them citizenship when they come across illegally??? Why are we even entertaining the idea of making these people citizens? If they want to come here to better their family, work hard and pull their own weight, then I will support them 100%. I cant support them if they come here illegally and live on the government and take the working mans identity to obtain an american job.

Both Hillary Clinton and Obama are now saying that they will see that all 12 million illegal aliens in our country will be given amnesty. Of course they are not saying in those words but instead using code words like Earned legalization.
Obama is going a step further saying that today's illegal aliens are part of a new civil rights movement. What do you think about that? Come hear illegally and you will get the same rights as someone who was brought here from Africa as a slave.
Somebody, somewhere, needs to start a website, well-designed and well-executed, listing the position on immigration of every incumbent representative and senator. Those politicians who have no regard for the future state of the nation--as regards both illegal and legal immigration and the environmental and social impact long-term--could be easily researched. The site could be called vote-em-out.org. Sort of along the lines of move-on.org
No way! I was at the anti-illegal immigration rally in downtown Los Angeles in march 2007, those illegals were very rude and very anti-American dragging our flag on the ground and waving their mexican flags in our faces, they were even calling blacks folks that marched with us at the N words, even check youtube. Doesn't Obama know this? I would not vote for any presidential candidates that support amnesty for illegals, it's already over crowded in this country and these illegals are despicable to Americans at the rally

With the tidal wave of public opinion turning against illegal immigrants and their supporters; methinks that all of the remaining Presidential candidates will be 'flip-flopping' very soon in favor of cracking down on the above.
The states are getting new bills in place before these bleeding hearts get into office!

Amnesty will be OK if they put a stop to further illegal immigration first. Get control of the border and stop the flow of new illegals. Then identify the illegals already here and make them legal forcing them to pay taxes like the rest of us.
We can't deport them, it would be impossible and would hurt the economy because the lower end workforce would be too reduced. This job availability gap would be much higher than our current unemployment rate.

Rather than reward lawbreakers, I'd be willing to take that chance.
I think we would find that if deportation through attrition occured in this country and employers were required to pay a living wage, they'd have plenty of takers.
