I wonder if clearing out your browser cache will work. My post will be #444.

I'm looking to move from western Oregon ( which has morphed into San Fransicko north) to somewhere north of Boise.
These 45 pages of pictures were an eye opener.
Thanks again

Shame on me. These are crossposted from the 'Front Porch' thread. Just in case somebody comes here looking for pictures. Taken today on the "Route of the Hiawatha".

Start of the trail at East Portal. Right away, you go through the first tunnel. Something like 1.6 miles long.

This small waterfall greets you upon the exit of that first tunnel.

A sample of the environment you ride in. In the center of the picture is one of the trestles you cross.

One of the trestles. They are really high up there.

A couple from today.

1.) City Beach in Sandpoint.

2.) A view along the Clark Fork River. What a beautiful area. I just might have to take up fishing. Grass must grow naturally in this area. It was "everywhere"!

3.) Along Idaho State Highway 200, designated a national scenic byway and named the "Pend Oreille Scenic Byway". There are several shale quarries close to this promontory.

4.) The Avista Cabinet Gorge Dam close to the Montana/Idaho state border.

Those are some beautiful photos volosong.

Here are a few I shot over Memorial Day weekend up in Garden Valley which is at the northern edge of the Boise Metropolitan Area about 45 minutes to an hour from downtown Boise but much closer for an eagle or falcon.

Boise's northernmost suburb

Thank you all for posting the great pics! Makes me so excited to move there. Lived in Denver for most of my adult life but it's getting too big and crazy. Looking to retire there soon. Truly inspirational photos :-)
