My tires are at end of life after 30k miles.
They came with the car but were very noisy so I do not want to buy the same.

I know Sonata is overall noisier than Camry but I want to make it better without spending too much.
Should I buy touring tires to get a quiet ride on Sonata?

I have costco membership so I can get $70 off on Michelins.
Any recommendations - Michelin or other brands?

Thanks in advance.

Michelins are great tires. On the spendy side but great tires. I put some Costco Michelins on my moms Sonata. Came with Hankooks from the factory

Continentals are very quiet and comfortable
But not the best in durability

I had Michelins on my vehicle and needed to replace but did not want to spend that much again since I'm going to get rid of it in a year or two.. anyway,, searched around a lot and came across Yokahama Avid Ascend..great temp ratings. tread wear, etc. very quiet, good traction (not necessarily in snow) but overall quite impressive.. MADE IN USA... best price was at discount tire online.. before I placed order I called a discount store and asked what install charge was and he asked where I was getting tires from.. online price was better than store..he said he would match price..problem sloved... I got tires installed with complete road hazard $656 tax included...free rotate and balance, tire repair, for life of tires... PLUS ,,,$50 visa rebate card in mail.. so tires were only 606.00 .. tires are great...quiet, and really grab the road.. for once I finally found something that works at a great price... saved $350.00 compared to michelin

I have Continentals on my CRV and I can't wait for them to wear out. They are noisy. Get the Michelins.

My buddy had a set on a Lincoln Navigator and he had a lot of issues. Separation and belt breaks. He went with some Hankook tires.

I put some Kumho Solus tires on my Corolla. They are much quieter, and handle way better than the Goodyears that came on the car, and are quieter and handle as well as the Michelins that replaced the Goodyears.

How did your last tires wear? Evenly?

Uneven tire wear can make a quite tire loud.

Sometimes a bad wheel bearing can be mistaken for tire noise.

Tirerack.com has lots of reviews on tires but it is just like this thread. Somebody says Brand Z is great. Then somebody says their cousin says Brand Z sucks.

If you want a car that is quite inside then research how to install materials in your car that do that.

I had a '12 Sonata Limited 2.0T and it was loud. The OEM Hankooks are horrible tires. I put on Continental ExtremeContact DWS and it was much better. But didn't get rid of all of the road noise.
