Just took a look at the models and there is no agreement yet.
NOGAPS has the storm going east of the Bahamas
GFDL has the storm going over western Cuba and into the central Gulf
BAMM has the storm heading to the Yucatan.
The official track has it heading our way...
Glad I didn't take the shutters down.

It's Hurricane Gustav now winds 90 mph early this am. Now saying may develop to a cat 3 or 4 by the end of the week. I'm unscrewing my painted shut hurricane shutter screws RIGHT NOW and putting up a few this week for sure. Feels like it's going to be a long two months.

Jeff Masters seems fairly confident that Gustav will be heading into the Gulf of Mexico.

The 5 day shows him to be most likely to be out in the gulf at the NOAA site.
