Well, lucky for you, the guy who created it looks at this forum every once in a while...

Google Maps- Huntsville Development (new)

The old map became un-editable for some reason, so I started a new one back in April.

Gosh, I hadn't looked at that in a long time. Now that I have a much better feel for the place having lived here for five months, this map is much more meaningful.

I had no idea How big VBIII was going to be. VBI and VBII are pretty darn big themselves; they look like outhouses compared to VBIII. I've heard VBIII is already completely full (no space left when it opens) and a lot of MDA people will still have to work off base.

I wonder when a lot of this stuff is going to pick up (excluding the Redstone stuff which I know is going on now). I drive by Constellation every day I don't see much happening, maybe it is...not sure. St James place hasn't moved. Brookstone in Big Cove at 431 and Sutton just sits there. Has Mayfair started? I think Valley Bend is underway with Dicks Sporting goods. Hampton Inn in Big Cove is almost done.

Thanks for building that map, it's great.

From the article:

"They're just waiting on the economy to make some kind of turn before they'll come out there," said Mayor Stanford
Considering that this area is still doing well in spite of the economy as a whole, I'm not sure what they are really waiting for. Probably financing.
