I'm moving south from Michigan, looking to get re-established where the weather is better and it's cheaper to live than in Ann Arbor Michigan, and where there are actual jobs I can get. There just aren't any here.

Hunting and fishing would be really nice too.

I'm 53, single, only dependent is my dog, not rich at all, looking for inexpensive place to park my RV and live out of it while I get established.

How's the job picture down there? Can anyone recommend a good area to land in?

What type of job are you looking for?

There is an RV park on HWY 69 going into Lake Guntersville. Not sure of the cost per month, but should be reasonable.

Well, I can do a variety of jobs, for 16 years I was a VMS systems admin, but that OS has pretty much gone extinct, I've been in retail, was a commercial bullet caster for a few years, have done a lot of restaurant work, chrome plating and polishing, grocery, etc.

I'll have to look around online about RV parks in the area I guess. Might you know what diesel fuel is going for locally there?

Yesterday.. it was 3.29 a gallon in Arab, which may be a little cheaper than in H'ville. Reg is 3.09 a gallon. Disclaimer.. that was yesterday.. who knows what it will be today..

As far as jobs go.. restaurants are plentiful. There are also manufacturing jobs around this are.

I believe Alabama has extra taxes on diesel fuel, so it's high here. However, we're very close to Tennessee...
