I think its just that...a dream. IF we were to get another I think they would look for somewhere on Madison Blvd.

I guess I don't understand the love for ChickFilA locations. Isn't it just another fast food restaurant at the end of the day?

I wouldn't say they are just another fast food restaurant. I rarely eat fast food, but when I do its usually Chickfila because I feel it is the only chain that is pretty much not garbage food. For fast food its high quality, and they have so many good healthy choices as well. Plus they have an outstanding reputation regarding customer service....I've never had a bad experience at any Chickfila, ever. They have higher standards that most. That is a key to their success.

That would definitely make sense so they could pull arsenal traffic during lunch as well...

South Parkway location definitely gets Arsenal business via Gate 3

It would serve a good portion of Madison, the area south of Zierdt Rd, the Arsenal and maybe even some from Research Park, and also people traveling thru HSV down 565. That's why I thought either Madison Blvd or they may be waiting for Town Madison area.

I'm a little surprised that Madison Blvd hasn't developed more than it has, at least relative to Hwy 72. I've always thought that some area around the airport would be great for a large shopping center (maybe Town Madison will fill that bill), but you'd think with Decatur being nearby the whole area would develop faster than it has.

Don't get me wrong ... it has changed drastically over the years, just not to the extent that Hwy 72 has. We moved to Edgewater in 1989 and there was literally nothing from Zierdt Rd west. That has changed, but it's mostly fast food and small developments as opposed to Hwy 72.

A good start would be to bulldoze the motels/suites along Madison Blvd that are home to just about every sex offender ad druggie in the area. Then freshen up the area a bit...there are a lot of rundown businesses along there.
