Also there is a residence directly behind the current construction. I assume it will either be torn down or moved.
The first commercial building is nearing completion. It has a large garage style door on the north side. Anybody know what it's going to be?

Sears at Madison Square Mall to relocate. This is great news for the MidCity development.

"Sears plans to open a smaller footprint appliance store in the new Mid-City development as early as 2018."

What a disappointment. I originally assumed that when they moved it would be to a similar sized store.

And I am surprised that we will go an entire year without a Sears store at all. BTW, any idea on plans for Penneys? Are we going down to just one store in Parkway Place?

We actually got our artificial tree from there last year. Just went in their to pick up a drill bit and it was getting cleared out. I hate not having a hardware store near research park.

Just an FYI, this has not been announced yet, but there will be an Ace Hardware going in at the Northeast Corner of Hughes Rd and Mill. Across the street from the fire department. The owner of those four houses is selling and it will be cleared for Ace.

I hope it isn't owned by the same guy who owns the Ace in Decatur. They never seem to honor the sale ad prices and promotions.
