I can't confirm, but people are saying the Clift Farms location will replace the Hughes / Hwy 72 location

Shrimp Basket has purchased the old Ruby Tuesday’s location on Highway 72 in Madison and is expected to open this fall.

At first glance, I thought they bought the old Madison Ruby Tuesday's location off Wall Triana. Yay, more stuff on 72 I guess..

Wait...its not the old location at Wall Triana and has an address of 110 Tom Thrasher Lane? That property sold in July of 2018 for $1.334M from Ruby Tuesday, Inc. to Beadle Lane LLC.

bam?

Edit 1: (For some reason, the forum doesn't like BAM in all caps ... it changes it back to lower case).
Edit 2: Ha. Apparently unless it's used in a sentence.

With a little digging I see the Hwy 72 Ruby Tuesday sold in September of 2018 for $1.5M to an outfit called RG LT2 Madison, AL, LLC.

Both Madison locations close and sell to locals.

That's the one I was hoping for as its been sitting abandoned for awhile, but the article linked specified the former Ruby Tuesday location on 72.

I'm assuming they are holding on to the property for value once the west side of town Madison develops.

A new theatre will be too close for comfort to the one at Hughes and 72. Especially given that Huntsville only has 5 theatres and 3 of those are in West Huntsville just down the road from these.

Not a great start start for the new development to be cannibalizing existing businesses.

OK, thanks. I knew it looked familiar but couldn't quite place it. I didn't know that store was closing. I'm surprised the one in the old "The Mall" is still open.

Real books may be slowly fading a little similar to, but not as extreme as, newspapers due to online availability.

Jack - That's one of Louis Breland's LLCs. He's probably hoping to capitalize on it given the proximity to Town Madison. He has a lot of hotel and retail on the west side of the development but not any restaurants.
