Those of you that moved away from Houston for employment, because of the weather, ect.....Do you really missed Houston?

Yes. I love where I live now, but I will always miss Houston. I miss all it has to offer, including all of the variety of shopping dining. Don't miss the traffic, or the humidity. About the only time I miss Houston weather is in the winter, when its snowing here, and its in the 50's in Houston.

I miss the familiarity of my home town, family, Mexican food, Luby's, Astros.

I don't miss the summer weather (getting too old for the combination of heat and humidity), the traffic, crime (broken into three times the last ten years we lived there) having long commutes to job (can't make a living in Houston anymore because IT legacy programming is just too scarce there anyway), high property taxes--and yeah, we have a state income tax in CA, but we get 80% of the state taxes withheld refunded to us because of our low income as state employees.

That is, I thought since it is a place that offers so much as far as jobs, nightlife, low cost of living, diversity, etc., it would be a place that no one would want to leave.
