I need to renew my Drivers License and I am not eligible for online renewal.

I went to the location in Spring Branch at 1PM and the crowds were horrible.
Does anyone have advice on another location where the weight times are less?
Also, what is the best time to visit the office?

I find the best time is first thing in the morning. Get there 30 minutes before they open and a line will probably already be formed. And do it before school lets out for summer!

I agree. I've been to that one several times first thing in the morning. I was in and out within an hour.

I went to the one in Alvin which is probably too far for you. I had to go a couple of times but went before & after the lunch crowds. I figured there would be a lot of people there at opening, lunch hour & right before closing. I was in/out of there with my temporary license in about 40 min. My wait time for each visit was somewhere around 20 min.

The 'super' DPS on Gessner is about the best since Katy closed down.

Hit it mid week, mid day and you might only have to wait for an hour or so. I lucked out and went straight in and was out in 40 minutes. Karma in action.

I went to Humble but it was still an hour and a half. Gives one an opportunity to see many residents of Houston who you wouldn't normally see.

Thanks for all your help!
It sounds like it is a root canal no matter what location you try.

I've had luck going about an hour before they closed, but you probably better off getting there really early.
