Thinking about going to see Miss Saigon this week. Anyone been to the theater? Are the cheap seats lousy?

If I answer your question truthfully, are you going to call me a douchebag?

If your truthful answer makes you a douchebag, then yes, there's a reasonable expectation that you will be called a douchebag. If not, then you have nothing to worry about.

Although I have only been in the orchestra and the first few balcony rows, I think that Sarofim hall is intimate enough (from my POV - since I am comparing it to the Saenger in NOLA) so that any seat is reasonably good.

The most expensive seats can be lousy. When we went to see Phantom, the woman sitting next to me couldn't see a thing because a really tall and large couple sat in front of her and one always had their head on the other's shoulder. Personally, I would have had said something - I'm not paying $100 or so a seat in order to have inconsiderate people block my view.

I used to be a season ticket holder, and there isnt really a bad seat as its not a huge venue. Granted if your in the back of the upper balcony, the stage can seem distant.
