You park underground next to the theatre and take the tunnels. Nice system.

There is a parking garage (above ground) next to the Alley Theater, but when I've parked there it takes a LONG time to get out of there after the show. Underground seems to be run more efficiently.

Sapphire, one more tip. The one "con" with underground parking is that it covers a huge area in the theater district from the Wortham Center all the way to Tranquility Park (closer to Hobby Center). I suggest you enter at the Texas Avenue entrance right across from the Alley and Jones Hall (Texas between Smith and Louisiana). It's okay to go down a level or two (you likely will since it fills up top to bottom), just don't wander off the immediate area once inside the garage (like towards Tranquility Park, Hobby Center or City Hall for example). Each underground level has different color walls. Be sure to remember which color level you parked on. Once you park, head to your nearest staircase leading to ground level. Hopefully you will be on Texas Avenue across from the Alley. If not, you should easily be able to find it. The top level underground (yellow, I believe) is the only one with tunnel access.

I used to work downtown for over 5 years and parked closer to Tranquility Park since my office was located near the area. It took me a while to get used to the underground garages. Once you get it, it is easier to get in and out of it. Easier to get in and out of it before and after theater events in my opinion.
