Sorry that cold weather & snow has arrived SO early!! I had heard that most areas of the country will be getting a colder/wetter winter this season (based on conversations w/people from NH, WI & OR). I'd heard we're going to get a colder & wetter Houston winter as well.

I grew up on the east coast & spent 2 winters living in Buffalo. The snow is great if you're a kid (snow men, snow balls, snow days) but as an adult? The pleasure of the first snow fall - that smell, the crunch under your feet in that eery silence with the sky looking a pinkish hue - quickly fades when you have to shovel your car out from under the compacted snow that has just been freshly plowed onto top of it by the snow plow. Good times. NOT.

I'll gladly take the Houston winter.

Stay warm, HugeTon!

I will. Until we get to move, I will keep my family and myself all layered up. The sad thing is I got too excited for the move so I packed most of our winter clothes in twenty-some of those boxes. Now I have to go and open 'em up and take 'em out. . I wished our house get sold tomorrow!
