you are definately going to have to find a middle ground if you want your engagement to turn into marriage. my boyfriend and i just moved to houston because we didn't have anywhere else to go. we both hated the town we were in and both had pretty bad pasts there and knew we had to get out for the sake of our new family. we have to compromise, that's what being in a relationship is all about. he loves the cold weather, i can't stand it, i love the heat.......so when we're able to move away we're going to find somewhere that's a middle ground. try looking away from houston and dallas...........try somewhere else that may have the things you want. good luck!

I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to move to Dallas either. Tell your fiance to adjust and deal with it.

Yeah, if you go to Austin, you'll automatically become erudite and hip. Also, the Texas Hill Country is home to a number of wineries. Along with Boone's, you'll find Mad Dog and Thunderbird. Pedants may point out they're not necessarily from Austin, but don't let that sway you. These brands are really popular in Austin east of 35.
