You haven't found any nice Indian folks in Katy?
I know there's plenty in Sugar Land.
A friend of mine (who's Indian) lives in the Stafford/Missouri City area.

Have you gone to any of the large Indian Temples? I know there is a really large one in Pearland and perhaps in addition to services, they might have social things as well.

could you imagine how many people would call us racists if we came on here and said "i want to meet some white people to be friends with"?

That is exactly what I just thought. That's something white people will never get rid of.

@neeru

I wouldn't focus to much on "indians". There are a lot of nice people in Katy. I'm pretty sure if you go to some out door activities in Katy, you will meet plenty of people.
If you have a hobby or something like that you might want to join an interest group. You should tell us more about yourself. That way someone might suggest something that will fit perfectly for you.

I don't know about Katy but Sugar Land has a very large Indian population so it might be easier to make friends here.

Well whether you get called racist or not, the fact remains (although some don't like to admit) that in addition to diverse friends, many people are interested in associating with those of their culture. There is a comfort and familiarity there that is hard to find elsewhere. Every ethnic group likes to socialize with their own (in addition to others). Personally, I don't see anything wrong with them asking where to meet other Indian individuals.

They'd probably take pity being that you have a problem with meeting white friends.

People ask it all the time, they are just more sly about it... like:

"Anyone know of any good country western bars?"

"Where can I watch this weekends NASCAR race?"

"Where can I find pleated dockers khakis on sale?"
