Up front in Sienna there's Ryland and Meritage building right now, that I've seen. Towards the back by the waterpark area, there's more Meritage, Perry, and Coventry, these being pricier, because of the more mature trees and nature preserves in the back...etc.

The only complaints I've heard of are from Moderator cut: removed home owners, for their bad customer/warranty service. Their homes are beautiful, but they have a bad rep for repairs. Perry is awesome in customer service! And I don't think we have any KB Homes in Sienna.

I looked and found alot of options with Ryland that are being built on the North Side of Sienna (the Elkins side) and Discovery Cove being built by Meritage (Big Texas Hammond Homes). With these we could afford upgrades.

Perry is out of our price range as is Ashton Wood Homes.

I know Pulte still has a lot of cash, so they should be around for a while. They build pretty decent houses. Also, take a look at Lennar as well.

Beazer used to have pretty good quality also, but not sure how they have been in the last two years. I also think Beazer is having a lot of financial problems, so they might not make it through.

I recently went to a few Chesmar models and really liked them as well (plus they include a lot of extra's that other builders charge extra $$ for, in their standard inclusion), but I have never heard of them before. Anyone know if Chesmar is any good?

I would also suggest that you avoid KB

Chesmar has a good reputation in the industry.
