OK, so you are getting a lot of random responses. If you want a good quality reply, try putting the following in a single response. And the more detail you give, the better the response you will get:

Where are you working? W Sam Houston Tollway The northern or southern part???
What is your budget? $1200/month
What is your commute time? rush your time or off time? Tollway OK? 20-45 mins
What other amenities are you looking for?
Are you looking for rural, surburban, urban?
Do you have requirements such as house, condo, yard, etc.?

Seriously, Houston is a large place and unless you are specific (and concise), you are going to get people responding about the places they know best, not necessarily what will be good for you.

If you're okay with an older/working class/lower middle... Maybe look for Jersey Village? Especially if you're northern W Sam Houston Tollway.. That will give you access to all things on 290... and the ability to get to 249/Willowbrook quickly...

What type of people do you want to surround yourself with? Older? Family? Young/Party?

Limit is a $120,00 house and in the NW or possibly N. Kingwood is perfect if he'll be next door to Quandell X or QX with the Hummer in the driveway.

I thought Quanell lived in Pearland? Poster is looking to rent at $1200 (I thought). I suggested Kingwood because I think you could get into an apt. community that I would consider safe and be in a neighborhood that is good for the kids to be out in. I don't care for the apts. on the NW side of town and particularly those near Willowbrook.
