Can anyone tell me if a roller hockey league can be found anywhere around the Houston area. I just moved here from Saint Louis and I have researched the area but have had no luck finding a roller hockey league for Adult Mens.

Default If you live on...

the north side of town (or don't mind a drive) this is the only place I know of that does indoor adult roller hockey:

Hockey Home (http://www.jopasports.com/hockey/hockeyhome.htm - broken link)

What you should do is quit with roller, and play ice... nothing like spending a few hours at the ice rink in the middle of August here in Houston. There are lots of opportunities for ice hockey... there's a rink in Friendswood, Sugarland, Willowbrook, Humble... etc.

Default Thanks to all who responded.

What does DM mean? I would more than be happy to make the hour trip to JOPA to play. In Saint Louis I played goaltender for the past 10 years and would like to find a team in need of one. How do I register and how can I tell if teams are looking for goaltenders?

Thanks,
Ken

DM stands for direct message... just left click on sunnys name, and click on "direct message sunny..." If you look in the upper left corner where it says "Welcome, kcr930" it shows you if you have any unread DM's.

Also, that link I provided you was for JOPA sports and it has info on their leagues (registration dates, costs, etc) I'd give them a call to find out if they know of any good competitive teams looking for an experienced netminder... or if they just redraft every year.

KCR930, Did you join the roller hockey league? My husband is looking to join an organized league that has good goaltenders.

I realize that this post is a little old, but I am also moving near Houston (Lake Jackson) from St. Louis, MO and was wondering if you ever found a good place to play? I played through college and would like to keep playing in a mens league here and there.
