I am moving my family (wife and 2 small kids) to Houston and I will be working close to the Galleria area, what communities should I look at? I want a kid friendly area, safe w/good schools, and a commute under 35mins. I have looked at Sienna Plantation, but I would prefer something further north of Houston(maybe have a real tree or two I would like to keep the house price below 220K. Any suggestions?

You may wish to check out the "HP Corridor" area. A lovely area with excellent schools, big trees and great demographics.
