It will reopen, soon. Even if it is closed, you can still get to the beach in Sabine Pass, just not into the park area. The area outside the park is called McFaddin beach.

Yikes, that's a terrible image!!!! Reports from the locals & what's on the web don't say that. But you know better than I do. I'm just a visitor to this side of SE TX (more appropriately SW LA).

When I get time I'll check out the water down here. I've already checked out the seawall/dock and it looks like an ok fishing spot.

Tstone, if you have some time to kill, and want to see some of the SETX area, DM me. I work shifts and have off days during the week.

And you think Kingwood is safer because Quanell X of the New Black Panthers lives in Kingwood?

Lots of truly educated UT folks live in urban Houston and don't appreciate your comment.

Riddle me this: how many suburb bashers read what they want to read, instead of what's actually written?

He said "Houston metro," which includes the entire region from Conroe to Galveston, Winnie to Brookshire and everything in between.

I have no idea what Quanell has to do with anything. Last month someone posted a link to an article showing the crime rates in all the major areas around Houston and Galveston was by far the highest for violent crime and property crime. Kingwood is very safe, thank you very much. You can talk as much **** as you want but the facts are the facts.
