Katy and Cy-Fair areas would be a bad drive to both UH and SHSU. You really need to be somewhere along I-45. If you go to UH-Main Campus, I-45 South (Clear Lake) or even Sugarland off 59 S would be better. If you go to SHSU 45 N Spring/Woodlands/Conroe would be alot better. Houston is very integrated and folks don't much care what you look like as long as your a nice person and work hard. If your hubby is in the AC business, anywhere in Houston would work for him. Literally everyone needs AC techs...this IS Texas and it does get HOT. For that matter...it IS HOT right now.

Katy and CyFair would make for a beyond HORRIBLE commute. Klein would be less punishing I think but still....Conroe would be much, much better.
