Hi

I am moving to your area from the West Coast and have been looking on the internet at areas. I will work around the 59 20 minutes south of downtown Houston and wondered if Kingwood which appears wonderful is workable.

My price is up to 185 and the trees are a nice thing to have

You may run into traffic in downtown and then at 59 & 610.
20 minutes south of downtown on 59 would push you closer to Stafford or Sugar Land.

It's a good place to learn your lesson the hard way.

NOT a good commute. Try Sugarland.

What do you mean learn your lesson the hard way. She may not understand the traffic. I remember I ask about this months ago and was answered it would be approx a 2 hour each way commute.

That made me shift gears to Katy or SL or Rosenberg or Richmond. in other words I have still not decided even though I am coming soon

Residential areas of Westbury are the best buy for easy access to downtown w/o spending a fortune for the house and on gasoline in the future. Even in 8-9 AM traffic on a weekday you can make it to downtown in under 30 minutes from Westbury.

Do a google search on the area and search the archives of this forum. Public schools are OK up to 8th grade.

$5 gasoline will be here before the end of this year

Sugarland would be the way too go if you need suburbia. Sugarland-Kingwood, interchangeable.

Otherswise Westbury, Willowbend and Meyerland would be the way to go. Reverse traffic is the best situation in town.
