I am GLAD Texas is not like California! I LIKE how people actually use the manners their mamas taught them, that there are not "gang-bangers* in
every town, no matter how big or small, that spending time with family is important, going to church is a spiritual and social activity, and my list gets longer everytime I go there!
If I wanted it to be like CA, I would simply stay here.....
....hopefully we only have 12 months to go!

HI Caligirl,
Give Houston about a year to adjust, I was a Cali transplant back in the 80s (at 18yrs old)and had the time of my life! The people there are friendly and the cultural diversity is awesome,I miss the restaraunts ,chili cookoffs ,old friends. I went back to Cali after 3 years and wish I wouldnt have.

Might locate back to Houston soon.. we live in L.A. (glendale) but I grew up in Houston.. didn't like it very much then but maybe it will be different now .. ultimately I think I would someday go back to Glendale though.. just can't afford it ..
