Would you have any recommendations regarding hospitals in the Houston area, especially near SugarLand, Katy, Cypress, Spring, Kingwood... ?
Where are the top-rated children hospitals ?
Thanks for your input !

Sugarland - For general hospital care - I recommend Oakbend. It is relatively a new hospital with great doctors and up-to-date equipment for testing.

If you have a particular illness you are trying to cover ... I'd suggest doing your homework. Houston - St. Lukes Episcopal is one of the best when it comes to heart conditions - in particular Dr. Edward Massen.

Hope this helps.

Well, Houston has one of the best medical centers in the world. Also, Houston Northwest medical center is considered one of the better "satellite" medical areas of Houston.

TMC has the best hospitals in the country and tends to have the more Senior Doctors. The satellites are good, but if I had a child with a serious problem I would head into Texas Childrens or St. Lukes in TMC location. Those satellite locations often life flight the bad cases into TMC anyway.

I agree. Texas Children's is where we'd go. And my personal preference for myself would be Methodist. We've always had great experience with them - as much as you can have a "great experience" with a hospital, of course.

Texas Children's for kids and St. Lukes for adults.

I'd stay away from San Jac Methodist (but that's not really Houston, it's Baytown)...far away.

Thank you veryone for your replies.
We may have to move to Houston, and while looking for a good area for the house, we would also like to be near a good ER hospital. With 2 young and active kids, we had our share of rush to emergencies so we know that it can be important to be near good reliable hospitals.
Also, could you please tell us what TMC stand for as we are not familiar with the area.
Many thanks again.

I think Memorial Hermann has a Sugar Land branch that is relatively new.
