Found this little guy stuck to a mouse trap in my garage...i noticed another one curled up right at the garage door similar size..are these baby snakes and what type..should i be worried as I have little kids that go outside

Maybe a Texas Brown Snake. They are pretty small, and harmless. The normal size for an adult is 12 inches or less.

It's nonvenomous. Nothing to worry about from this.
You might have venomous snakes in your yard. Best way to prevent danger is to keep their food away. They eat rodents. Get rid of high grass, wood piles, or anything else that attracts rodents.
