Yes, FS1 has been airing the games.

I looked at the prices right when it was clear the USA would make the semis. They were about $150 then for the cheapo seats. Wasn't willing to pay that much to watch Argentina steamroll us.

Good call. Absolute domination by Argentina.

Well the game was a blast.

Big thanks to djmuk for the downtown transit center tip.

Seeing the huge array of buses waiting by the rail station was a welcome relief after seeing the massive amount of people heading that way.

We hopped on a bus and went straight downtown where we were parked, traffic was pretty heavy but it certainly beat jostling for a spot on the rail.

As far as the game goes it was great. Excellent atmosphere and decent performance by the US.

Argentina is ranked #1 in the world, if people would only want to go if the US wins they will probably end up seeing rather sub par competitors. Our soccer team once again did our nation proud by making it to the semi-finals.

Messi's goals were fantastic. Too bad the US could not get at least one goal though. My son says the US had no shots at all.

Messi the Magician. Wish I could've gone, despite the score. I really need to take advantage of these experiences.

Messi plays at a different level
he takes people off of him as if he was a basketball player doing a crossover

Glad it worked out for you! Despite being told our bus was express to the transit center, our driver had other ideas. We had a tour of 288, I-45, I-10 and the whole east side of downtown as she thought that was her route! She wasn't even planning on going to the transit center until the passengers staged a "revolt". Finally got there 55 minutes after leaving the stadium...

My thoughts exactly. I'm British so no major allegiance to either side. Nice to be at a home team game anyway, but the chance to see Messi, Higuain and the others do their magic was too much to turn down whoever they were playing.

In retrospect, it might have been worth it to see Messi play. That free kick goal was placed as perfectly as a ball can possibly be placed. As for Messi himself, supposedly he is autistic or has Asberger's, which could be one of many reasons why he seems to play in a different realm than mere mortals.

On the other hand, the US team should be ashamed of themselves. I don't think I have ever seen such horrible passing and indecisiveness. I thought I was watching a pub team that didn't know basic fundamentals of the game. And why is Bradley still playing? He plays like a 35 year old washout and he is only 28. Guzan sucks too.

They really took it easy on the US. The outcome was not a surprise as it was the number 1 ranked team playing against the 31st ranked team. But Messi is a bad man. That goal he had yesterday was insane.
