We have seen some houses in Aliana built by CatAtlantic homes and they were quite nice. However when I googled about the builder seems lot of complaints and negative reviews.

Anyone in Aliana who bought from CatAtlantic/Ryland homes and can put some facts on quality ?

Our first home was in Aliana that we built with Ryland. Our experience with the construction manager was not good and he ended up leaving midway but the new construction manager that took over was very good and took care of all issues in a timely manner. We sold the house 2 years later with no issues.

I have heard a couple people complain about dealing with the staff. Some project managers lie about completion and things like that. Even when getting a new home make sure to get a good Realtor that will handle a lot of issues for you. Your not going to end up paying for the realtor the builder usually does. It is just good to have someone on your side who doesn't represent the builder and is looking out for you.

We build our first house in Telfair Sugar Land with Ryland who are now CalAtlantic builders.
Our house was built in summer of 2012. Right after moving we started noticing issues after issues with our house.
They have used cheap materials and their workmanship is poor.
* AC broke down within 3 years. Part was covered but we have to pay over $ 1,500 in labor.
* They never fix the drainage issue while it was under warranty.
* Window leaks and stuck.
*** Very recently we are having SERIOUS issues with CRACKS throughout the house both Interior and Exterior.
It is so much frustration one would not expect from a 3 ½ year old house.
