Take a look at the link below. Lots of people do more for this city than build skyscrapers and own restaurants. Most just don't have the desire to be on TV.

They're talking in the sense that he doesn't just do it for the money. Fertitta saw there wasn't a major bordwalk in the Houston area so he built the Kemah Boardwalk. He saw there wasn't a "pleasure pier" and he built the Pleasure Pier in Galveston. He wanted an easy acces casino town like Atlantic City is to New York so he put a Golden Nugget in Lake Charles. Maybe he's not the biggest community service guy, but when he sees something that Houston is missing, he makes it himself.

But he definitely doesn't do it for the money!

I'm guessing that's sarcasm. Anyway, of course he's getting paid in the process. So what? It's a bad thing to make money?

I am all excited about this show. I would like to see what this guy has to offer in terms of advice for up and coming entrepreneurs and small business owners. I love watching Marcus Lemonis - "the Profit". Learned so much from him without having to pay for a seminar or read a book. Can't wait for this show to start. Shark tank on the other hand has become boring. Those guys don't share any valuable tips on the show.

It's not a bad thing to make money, but don't frame it as GIVING back to the city. LOL, investing in the city is one thing, the philanthropy I've referred to in a prior post is quite another.

If that's "screw(ing) it up", bring it on. It's beyond time that TPTB got a bit uncomfortable.

Took the words out of my mouth
Next thing, Republicans are going to consider setting up a toll road as "Phylanthropy" because people can use it to go to work
