You can stereotype people from anywhere
by saying "Most people from there look like X, Y, Z"
but the reality is that you can't pick one place anywhere and say that everybody there looks the same.

and if they do, I'm not interested in going there.

So basically, you expect a whole bunch of Puerto Ricans to all magically decide all at once to move to DFW. It doesn't work that way. The only way that many will move at a time there is if there is a specific thing moving them there, which there is with both emigration and contract workers (though their sending more to Houston and Southwest Louisiana but still some to DFW) but from my understanding, not enough to end up being 17,000 in 4 years. Especially since the huge contract worker movement into Houston and Southwest Louisiana didn't get huge until 2014.

17,000 is not that huge of a number. And Dallas getting their migrants has nothing to do with Houston and SW Louisiana.

Dominicans are everywhere. Dominicans cluster but also disperse and scatter out!

Yeah. Despite numbers Peter finds and crunches, I seriously started to run into Dominicans lately, most that live in Spring or northern Houston.

There is no such thing as a "Mexican look" but it's a fact that most Mexicans are and look Mestizo, whereas Caribbean Latinos are mainly Mulatto.
