In the process of buying a home, anyone wants to recommend an alarm system for the house, I know ADT is out there but they seem to be a bit pricey?

Thanks in advance

I have counterforce. I have heard great things about Brinks. The are probably all about the same, just find the one with the best incentives.

True on average I am just trying to save some money here and there, bad enough I have to pay a high premiums in home insurance, i guess thats what happens when you insure an older home in houston.

I would spend the extra few buck for ADT, Brinks, Comcast.

ADT Gold program. The best system out there. They call within ten seconds of a tripped alarm, even if YOU turn it off.

Apparantly, our new construction home has an alarm system already installed. I am not sure if the unit is only monitoring the doors or if it also monitoring windows. (If anyone has had experience with this, I would welcome any comments). If it is only monitoring doors, should I be having whatever alarm company I choose come and install window devices as well? And on EVERY lower floor window? Any idea on costs associated with this? I welcome any and all comments! We are moving from a small town and have never had an alarm system before (other than our two dogs!
